The birds are excited, the horses delighted. Everyone loves these colourful blocks. It’s time to build and play and stack and create. And hey – we’re doing great!
KUTULU toys are created for our little ones as well as the slightly bigger ones. But you know what? The whole family, from the older sister to Grandpa, will enjoy playing with them. Even mums and dads often tell us that they appreciate a well-made wooden toy – as a baby shower gift, a birthday present, or perhaps a reward from Grandma for good grades.
Our freewheeling horses, swinging birds, and building sets like XYLONAUT have a lot in common. Revolving around geometric shapes and vibrant colours, they are inspiring, imaginative, easy to combine, and made to last for a long time. We make our toys from quality beech wood by hand, then carefully hand-paint them before sending them out into the world.

Our goal is to design toys that stimulate both creativity and cognitive functions. That's how we created XYLONAUT, too: a set of 16 blocks with 54 coloured panels that can be assembled into various motives. Like an earthworm. Or an ice cream cone. Or a spaceship... You can find 54 original motives to begin with in the instruction manual. Once you’re a pro at that, it’s time to start inventing and combining on your own! How do you make sure it works out in the end? Our hot tip is: do yellow first!
Hold on to your hats – there are plenty of other exciting options for rebels who don't like to play by the rules, but also for the youngest family members. Who can build the tallest tower? Now there's a challenge! Construct roads and tree lines; if you feel up for it, you can even add some road signs. See if you can find a triangle or make a circle.
All the different forms of playing help children practice their motor skills, logical thinking, concentration, problem-solving, and social interaction. They can play on their own, with a friend on a playdate, or with Grandma when she’s babysitting. Why not join forces? But psst, we'll tell you a little secret. Cognitive functions need to be trained at every age. So, Daddy, Auntie, Grandma, Grandpa – come play!

Another thing we really like about XYLONAUT is how it complements the other toys. HIPO horses can carry the blocks as cargo: white diamonds, red rubies, blue sapphires... Or are those cakes and lumps of sugar? You can build an apple to feed the horses and an earthworm for the PI-PI birds. And for everyone – a skyscraper, a palace, a farmhouse, or a castle with colourful windows.
XYLONAUT also makes up a dynamic duo with the BRIKULO building set. Feel free to mix all the blocks into one pile! Kids can learn colours, geometric shapes, and fractions without even realising it. It all becomes second nature while they’re playing. What does a half-circle look like? And what about a half of a half? Oh look, a quarter! Let’s see what else you can do!
